So I have had a read around and it seems that it's common for people to have connectivity issues with these screens.Prior to a new title launching, our driver team is working up until the last minute to ensure every performance tweak and bug fix possible makes it into the Game Ready driver. When I tried connecting a spare screen supporting HDMI as the second, that works fine. Individually they work fine, both with either HDMI or DP. So I have laptop HDMI to one screen and MiniDP to the other, and the result is that only one will ever work at once. I cannot get any signal onto the second monitor, it always falls back to power saving mode.įailing this, I decided that I would try using two cables and ditching the DP MST idea so I could at least use both screens. I enabled DisplayPort 1.2 on both of these screens. DP out on this same monitor goes into Mini DP in on the second monitor. I followed the instructions and using two Mini DP to DP cables, connected laptop mini DP into DP in on the first monitor. My aim was to be able to daisy chain the U2414H screens together so could use my laptop out and about, and when connecting back to the monitors would only have to plug in one cable and get dual screens. I have bought two of the U2414H screens and a Windows 10 laptop powered by GTX 960M with ports for HDMI and Mini DP.
